Hi there,

After flicking through the manual of my new PS3 I see that buying a HDMI cable will give me better viewing pleasure than the cable supplied. There were a few options, but it seemed like HDMI was the best.
.

Can someone advise me on which cable to get though please, as there seems to be so many out there.

I can't afford to spend very much on one either unfortunately. But if I am paying extra for this lead I would like to notice the difference.

Thanks

Get the cheapest lead you can. There won't be any difference in picture quality with the more expensive leads.

There is no difference. Aldi sell one for ?.
------------

Noticing the difference is dependant on how you connect currently, if via SCART then a BIG difference but we also must assume you have a LCD/Plasma that can take HDMI?
The rule of thumb is not to get the cheapest you can lay your hands on but one that is well constructed. A 2 metre HDMI cable should not cost greater than ?0-?5.

Pretty much any well constructed cable will do. Have a look at audiovisualonline, they have a fair selection on there at various prices. Lidl often sell some at a fiver and they're great quality. I use bettercables and markgrant in my own system. Also check bluejeanscables.co.uk. Whatever you do, please do not be swayed by the likes of monster or QED's new PS3 range (which are designed to match the PS3 by being, err black!) which are just an over-priced con. You're paying for looks more than anything.

This is the range I use http://www.shop.bt.com/productview.a...avigationKey=0 VERY well constructed. Note Belkin do seem to use FT instead of Metres so be careful.

apparently this one is good

at that price, who can complain

We try to offer a range at different price levels and quality of build.

THe OP didn't mention length, but if we are talking about 1-2m then there is no need to pay more than around ?0, the hype that surrounds the higher priced offerings just doesn't stand up for short HDMI cable lengths.

Try www.ukhdmi.com for this sort of thing.

I ordered 3 of the 1m Plexus HDMI cables from ebuyer for ?.15 each plus p p yesterday. Strange that the 2m cables are cheaper at ?.69?
