samsung q1
Hi!

I'm new to this forum and joined for a bit of help! I woke up the other day and put on the TV to find wierd horizontal lines flickering all over . I tried disconnecting everything from the TV but nothing works. I have made a you tube clip for you to look at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihrk8Hb_37Q
.

.

I hope some one will know what the problem is? Sad thing is i've only had the TV for a year.

Cheers.

Matthew.

Hi Matthew,

Does it just happen on freeview?

What about DVD/consoles - do they suffer the same?

Where did you buy it from? I would consider ringing them - even tho it's a year old, goods should legally last a resonably expected time, and I think 5 years is reasonable for a TV ;)

Hi Azz,

Thanks for the reply!

No it happens on all connections!! Even with just the aerial plugged in. Since I wrote the last post it has got really bad now! Cant even watch TV! Bit gutted because I thought it was a fantastic TV. It has knocked my confidence in buying Samsung again. Looks like its going to have to be a bit of a insurance job!!

Where did you buy it from?

There is a law in the UK that goods should last a reasonably expected amount of time - so I reckon 4 years is reasonable for a TV! If the shop didn't play ball you'd have to go via a small claims court and get the judge to decide. Google it the law (sommin like: "sales of goods reasonable")... you might be able to get it fixed :D

Just to let you know I have bought a new Samsung TV to replace the old one. Big mistake! I am now dealing with a problem where the sound is out of sync with the picture. Nice one.
