Had the above TV for about a year and very happy with it. In last couple of days though noticed that I am getting (only in evening at present) what can be described as some red sparlklies appearing on screen from time to time. Seems to be mainly on dark screen shots (or maybe that is only when I notice them). Started noticing when watching films on Sky and put it down to some form of channel interference, but last night noticed it on in built Fview reception. Not noticed on DVD input (HDMI) so far. Wondering as only happens in evening (and last night they started running up and down screen in Matrix opening sequence style) could it be something to do with set getting warm as been on for a while or brightness sensor? We have jut installed wireless router at home and initially wondered if that was problem, however sparklies appeared last night when router switched off. .

Any one experienced similar problems? Any info welcome before I join the inevitable telephone helpline support queue! ------------ Could it be sky interference? Do you have another tv to test it on? Or maybe connect another device into what the sky is now (scart?). That way you can isolate if its sky, or the input? ------------ Thanks Azz
Thought it was Sky interference at first but with Sky box powered off it appeared on in built FView (DTV) reception last night. Doesn't seem to fit with previous problems people have had with green flashes and other picture problems. Have not added any new kit to set up of late so can't see it could be down cabling or electical interference/field problems. The effect is actually quite subtle and I'm interested if anyone has had similar problem and whether already out there as a known fault? My gut instinct is that it is an interference rather than panel problem, but could be wrong. ------------ Ah right sorry, I missed that bit!
It does sound like it could be interference but it could also be a loose joint that both freeview and scart share somewhere from signal > panel.
Is it still under warranty? (hope so!) ------------ Cheers Azz
Still under warranty for couple of months. Tonight I have unplugged an vcr (still got one for kiddies videos) and DVD recorder (occasional use) as when TV on I still had 5 other inputs on standby and will see if my red sparklies still appear. ------------ Since doing the above have had no more problems and saving a few pennies of electricity:) ------------ Might be the VCR... how was it connected? I think you can change the frequency the VCr outputs at too, which might have been conflicting with something else..? ------------ VCR was into non rgb scart on tv. I had dvd player, vcr, sky box, dvd recorder all stacked on top of each other so could have been something to do with close proximity of all this stuff (used to get pretty warm in corner where tv was!) ------------ Ah yes sometimes some products can interfere with each other in that way, years ago my old TV couldn't be too near the VCR or I got major interference! I had to move it to the bottom of the rack!
