Getting Bright blue outlines on whites on the screen. Started happening whilst playing my 360, thought it was the 360 crashing but when I went to watch tv the outlines were still there. Has anyone else experienced this? Gonna get in touch with Samsung for a replacement methinks.

Its getting progressively worse, rang samsung today, they are going to ring to arrange collection, hopefully tommorrow. Thought they would just replace it considering it looks like the lcd has gone, but apperently it will go in for repair, ill be without my tv for upto 5 working days :( not happy :( I loved my Samsung.

Hi,

My LE26R51BD has exactly the same problem. I had an "engineer" sent by Samsung (local service company) round to fix. All he did was take the back cover off, clean a connector and leave - although he did state that he didn't know much about LCD TVs... Two days later the problem was back.

The problem seems to be extremely intermittent, and my set is 11 months old. Have reported it to Dixons and they state that if Samsung do not fix within 28 days - I can request a replacement set.

The engineer from Samsung's local service company (GenServe) is coming this afternoon, and I have been asked to Samsung to ensure that they take the TV away for a full investigation. However, the lady that rang to arrange the appointment is adamant that they will not take it away, but instead order a new panel and fit this in my home... This is without looking at the fault...

I'll let you all know how this progresses...

Engineer has just left with the TV.

Replaced a lead, claiming this would fix. Apparently it fixed another set exhhibiting this problem. He suggested I wait a few days and send photos to Samsung if I saw problem again...

Due to the age of the TV (and lack of warranty) I suggested he take the TV away as promised by Samsung, so that they could see the problem themselves.

I have no faith in the "replace the cable" fix, and want to give Samsung every opportunity to fix before resorting to replacement from Dixons. I also want to be out of the testing loop, as I am the consumer, not their QA dept.

After taking the TV on the 18th August...

Genserve claim to have reproduced the problem and ordered a new mainboard for the TV on the 22nd August.

This has not arrived yet... So have been without TV for 2 weeks now...

...and I am still waiting.

Phoned Dixons last week, they again resassured me that if the repair took longer than 28 days I could claim a replacement TV from them.
