nokia n82 vs n95 8gb
Hi guys,
I've spent the last 7 hours trying to figure out just how the hell the contacts could be edited using the N82 pc suite on my pc. I tried content copier and synchronization icons but to avail.There is no effin contact editor icon i can choose like the manual was saying. The best i could do was see my list of contacts in the synchronization window and that's all. PLEASE PEOPLE IF ANYBODY KNOWS HOW THEN CAN YOU ENLIGHTEN ME WITH WHAT IM DOING WRONG??

------------ hmm im not really sure and i cant tell you at the moment cause im at work. But when i tried using the software update option on the suite, it kept interrupting citing vista was not included in any update package for now. I dont know when i get back home which is in 8 hours i'll post which version im using. thanks buddy.
------------ That is correct, there is a compatibility issue with Vista and NSU (Nokia Software Updater) and Nokia have temporarily withdrawn support for Vista, so you cannot update your phone's firmware if you are running Vista - well, you might be lucky, but usually will have a lot a of problems and generally will not happen.
I am running PC Suite v.6.86.9.3 on XP and have an icon looking like an address book with a phone headset on the cover - that's the contact editor. Please note this is the standard Nokia PC Suite, not the N-series PC Suite.
------------ Do not even attempt to update the firmware on Vista. Many many people have reported a bricked phone after doing this. If you are upgrading the FW, do it on an XP machine.
