Yap you are correct. They have removed the turn by turn navigation with the new firmware. Now you have to pay even for no voice. I wish Nokia hadn't been so sneaky and should made it clear that this feature will be removed with the firmware upgrade. I don't think nokia is being fair to us user by using such underhanded means to make us pay more after spending all those money on the phone that was advertised with such free feature and then taking it away after you've purchased the phone!. I'll be wary with Nokia from now on, so should anyone intending to buy another Nokia. Isn't there a law against such practice??? Maybe someone should act!
