N95 sound quality

Hi there

I'm trying to get a feeling of the sound quality of the N95. I read another place that it should be inferior to N91 (since the N91 has a dedicated sound chip and N95 doesn't?). I am quite picky when it comes to sound quality -had a S/E W950 and it didn't do it for me AT ALL. So at least the N95 has to be better. So I am very interested in hear from users that have compared the N95 sound quality wise to N91/W950i/iPod. Anyone?

I would use some Etymotic ER-4p with it.. ------------------ Il also interested in this. The w810 also sucks at music, i read that the 950 is a lot better though. ------------------
Quote:------------------ Just to clarify -I'm not interested in the quality of the speaker(s) I am only interested in hearing about the quality and differences to other models (specially the ones mentioned) through the headphone output. Even more so if a high quality pair of headphones have been used for testing and comparing..
Thanks for any input! ------------------ I had the N73 I think the sound from the N95 is much better. ------------------ Sounds good :)

Anybody could compare to N91? ------------------ Loads better than my old W950 and that with without looking at EQ ------------------

Quote:------------------ Right just consider me a resident expert on this one, I have a Cyrus CD8 plugged into a DAC X which feeds a Sugden Headphone amp into Senn 650's. (A ?000 headphone system.) I'm a certified audiophile nut!
I copied a JVC XRCD (audiophile disc) (Doug Macleod) onto The N95 at the higest setting and listened through a pair of Shure E5c's (?00) as well as the Senn's (?70).
Firstly the N95 doesn't have the power to drive the Senns to high volume, but the sound is crisp and balanced. Now on the E5c's which are more sensitive the volume gets louder, but even at 100% it won't deafen you, (maybe a good thing?) but, turn on "Stereo widening" and sit back and enjoy! Yes there is a background hiss, which you can really hear between songs or in quite passages, but this is a phone and it is doing other things at the same time, but IMHO it's as good as any portable player without a dedicated amp that I've heard!
