I have a peculiar problem where my Nokia N95 screen doesn't light up but I can see the display without the light. It is hard to see anything in the night. I tried changing the LCD but it didn't work. Looks like this is not an LCD problem at all. Anyone faced similar issue..any leads or help is appreciated..

you could order some spare parts and d.i.y if you cant bear to part with your phone and send it to Nokia.
i remember the days when playing my nintendo or sega saturn console, we used to blow into the catridges when it didnt work. and miraculously it works everytime. so you could try this on the pcb board and the lcd connector
