motorola v360/Problem: Phone not detected by *any* software.

OS: Win98SE
Software:
P2KCommander v3.2.9
.
MPT v323
PST v7.2.3 General
P2K, and many other apps and utilities.

Hi. Any help is appreciated. I've read a ton of threads here and elsewhere, and have succeeded only in confusing myself with too much information.

Windoze 98SE recognises a device called "A41x/V32x", but cannot find a driver for it no matter where I point it. I've tried *all* the .inf files I have. I even bought Verizon's Mobile Office Kit to see if it would detect the phone. Nope.

Many of the available apps are for XP only, and I'm running 98SE. All I want to be able to do is get my photos off the phone to my PC through a USB link.

Many thanks in advance.

Hey! Fantastic forum and help! I not only got my pics off the phone, but it now gets free cable TV and spits COLD beer out the headset jack! Who knew?

Maybe the moderators (with due respects) would consider a n00bie forum where we could feel a part of the group, give each other bad advice, and generally help each other to learn-as-we-go.

Thanks.

Yup.

I'm having a similar issue but with XP.

(posts found somewhere on the boards-Thanks to original authors-ONLY works with XP)

**************

I am new to this community and am not really sure if the V325 goes here but it is a CDMA phone so I was close ;D

I have had the phone for a little over two weeks. I bought it from Verizon =/ and have read up on how to modify it. Verizon seems to lock out MPT's media studio which in mine opinion should be against the law. I was able to find a work around.

There seems to be little discussion about this phone on the boards. I only found 4-5 topics that talks about the V325.

I was wondering as well as many others how to put pictures on/off the phone.

I have found a 70% chance success rate solution to the problem.

The Tools Used:

RSD Lite 1.6 (Google It)

PST 7.2.3 [PATCHED] (Google It)

P2K Commander (Found in the downloads section of this site)

Instructions:

I start up RSD Lite then plug the v325 phone in.

The phone will start to charge but ignore that.

When RSD understands the phone is plugged in it will show up as connected in the RSD program.

After its connected startup PST 7.2.3 make sure that PST is patched.

Wait 30 seconds after PST is loaded then startup P2K Commander.

Change the window on the left to P2K mode. The phone will start sending the files in its system to Commander.

Once its done you should have about 200 something files. If you dont see that 200 files were loaded change the ammount of files that are shown in the options menu to unlimited.

No go to the Motorola > Shared > Pictures This is where you can see pictures you have taken with your camera. To copy the picture from the phone highlight the picture name and then hit copy and it will copy the file over to the other window. I found that taking pictures off the phone worked 100% of the time with no problems.
