Many years ago an old man told me that the British are great in moaning but very poor in complaining. What he meant was that all his life he had got into the habit of writing letters and sending faxes so that a more formalised and documented system of complaining was in place. .
I have two R74 LCD tvs (32" and 40") and am very happy with them. However, I am currently going through a support issue with my 32" TV - on standby it emits a whistling sound.
I haven't taken any prisoners with Samsung: I wrote a letter (and fax) straight to Mr. Stephen Brackenberry the UK Samsung Customer Services Manager and told him to deal with it! I shall keep you posted...
p.s the Samsung customer service is shite, I have to agree.
