nokia n95 8gb reviewN95/nokia/ I know i've made endless posts recently asking numerous questions, all of which are probably easy ones and use a lot of common sense.
so heres another one, i have no more questions to ask after this !(unless i think of something else :) lol)
anyways, i've just ordered an 8gb sandisk memory card.
so far, i've been installing applications onto my old memory card, when i get my new memory card, would it be possible, to put both memory cards into a card reader, and transfer ALL my data from old to the new one (including maps/images/videos (and files which have already been installed, which my phone is dependent upon using to run so to speak).
i don't think maps should be an issuie, i'm pretty sure images etc won't be an issuie.
but what my main concern is, how about the programs which i have already installed to memory card. will they still run? or will i have to uninstall them all, and reinstall them onto my new memory card?
Thanks :D
Andy! . ------------ Yes. What I did was to make a folder on the PC, transfer all the 2 GB card contents to it (Ctrl A, Ctrl C, Ctrl V), then transfer the lot to the new card. Job done, took just a few minutes and no probs whatsoever, maps work, all apps, the lot.

(All done via card reader, after checking that hidden files are shown) ------------ Before you copy anything to the card, Format it in your phone... That way you can be certain that the formatting of it is compatible. ------------ Good advice, although the last four cards I've bought have been Sandisk and I haven't formatted any - thinking I'd get a format error from the phone if there was a problem. All have been fine, speedy, and no errors of any kind (unless I have done something stupid).
