windows xp key generator/
I would like to know if anyone else has ever encountered something like this. My new graphics card, an EVGA 8800 GT 512mb is running extremely hot. I mean, I dont think that it should be IDLE at ~51 degrees CELCIUS (122 F). After playing Crysis for about 3 hours on High, I exited and ran NVidia Monitor and I saw 72 degrees Celcius (162 F). I have heard a lot of reviewers of the card claim that it runs rather hot, but that is kind of scary. Anyone know what could be wrong or is this normal?

------------ Those temps don't look that bad, if it goes over 180 F then thats bad. If you want to cool the card better anyway , try adding more case fans or lowering the room temperature. I set my air conditioner to fan mode only and it brings the cool air in from outside and lowers my room temp about 20 degrees.
Or if it still bugs you , you can purchase an after market cooler or a dual slot cooler for the card.

Hmm. Well I was thinking that it was running fairly hot. And I was thinking that throwing another one in SLI would generate a lot of heat. But if that temp sounds normal-ish to you , then I guess im just a little paranoid :p.
------------ That sounds normal for an 8800 , especially if its a single slot cooler.
