Yes well it was just a matter of time, it fell into the toilet (on xmas eve lol). Luckily the battery flung lose and separated from the phone before entering the abyss that is the Toilet. I pulled the battery and phone out within milliseconds of entering the water, as you do with $1000 worth of phonage. But yeah at the moment its in bits'n'pieces ontop of my radiator baking in 50c heat, hoping the water will evaporate from the chips by xmas day. wish me luck :) Anyone else had a similar experience? what was the outcome?

I would let it dry naturally mate, you might **** it up more on a radiator.

True - yes it was a tad hot when I picked it up (about 50c or so), ive put it further away from the heater so it should be all good in the morning.

Thanks yeah I'll post back tomorrow with the outcome. *fingers crossed*

Mine are crossed too.

if you could strip everything i guess that'd be better? a friend of mine dropped her's too, while it seemed dry after a day, turned out it wasnt really dry afterall
------------

Ive stripped it to a certain extent, basically ive just remove the main cover and removed the LCD Module, but didnt go further than that. Hopefully the heater will get into the circuitry and evaporate the moisture. Before powering it up I think I'll dismantle it a bit more to ensure the PCB components are dry. Surely baking the phone in 30c~50c heat for 8 hours would be sufficient. When I opened it, it was surprisingly dry inside, so it should be fine. Luckily the battery wasnt powering the unit when it entered the water - that may have caused some damage for sure...
