nokia n95 mobile phone
Hi there,
I have had my N95 for about 3 months now and have tried everything to get the Contacts, call history etc. to be transmitted via Bluetooth to my car (BMW330i 2006).
I get connect to the car and make/receive calls, but it seems like the N95 only connects to the car like a handsfree, not a full connection.
Any ideas?
.
I'm not sure mate but you got a nice car ;)
It will only work with 2008 and newer BMW.
I believe you can ask BMW to update your bluetooth system.
First post so be gentle,
I found this a while ago and it works on mine.
If you have the phone paired to the car, delete it.
Go into pairing mode on the car and use the N95 to find the car. Enter your pin number so the phone is paired. Don't exit pairing mode on the BMW yet.
Now on the N95 go to contacts. Select about 10-15 contacts (hold down the pen key and scroll down). Then go to options -> send business card -> via bluetooth. Select the BMW from the list of bluetooth devices and it'll send them across. Repeat for the rest of your contact list.
You may end up with a few duplicates in your BMW phonebook depending on whether your original contacts had multiple phone numbers or not. But it definitely works and displays incoming call name properly etc.
I tried doing the whole contacts list in one go but it failed - doing it piecemeal takes a little longer but its a one time thing.
My car is a 2002 E46 with satnav TV BT Retrofit, (2004 Gen 3 ULF)
It may not work on all ULF's but give it a go.
HTH
Thanks guy's
Sorry about the late reply, been on holidays :)
I tried what you suggested but came up with a blank :(
We'll have to see what BMW have to say.
you guys have nice cars! *droools*
