Which connection set up will give the best results for the LE-32R41BDX which I have just purchased?

The components I wish to connect are:

Sky Box (standard type)

Panasonic DMR-55 DVD Recorder
Connections: RGB Scart in/out
Component video out
S Video in/out

Would component video give the best results?

As my existing television is 9 years old (disgraceful I know!) I am new to a lot of the technology now available.

I have a DVD recorder with 250GB HDD. My NTL box goes into the DVD recorder, then DVD recorder connected to the TV. I tried using component, and the quality was much better than SCART. However, I still didn't think it was that great, so went to talk to a hi-fi guy, and bought a really good quality SCART cable. It is much better than component.
