Hi everybody...I hope to be of help.

The famous "Missing BT Serial Port Profile" on BB5 phone has been solved at Xan (Gnubox) site.

http://www.symbianos.org/yabbse/index.php (Gnubox)
.

With Xan infinite knowledge we could add the missing libraries. Opera 8 works, Agile Messenger works, most TCP/IP Apps will work, not sure about VoIP but that is just for the GPRS latency > 600ms...

We need somebody with 6681 and 6630 to do more test, 6680/6682 are now considered stable.

Bye,
N66x0

I can't make it work on my 6630

Me either.

Ok, I made it work. It works. Really.
Bye

Ok. I hope it'll help.

Follow the steps here ( http://www.techpakistan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=356 ) for setting up the windows side.

1. In the Windows "Incoming TCP/IP properties" dialog check the "IP assigned by DHCP" option.

2. Download gnubox_6630_6680_rc.sis from here ( http://gnubox.dnsalias.org/gnubox/testing/ ) and install it into the mobile.

3. (Mobile side) Go to the Settings->Connection->Access points of your nokia. Select Options->New Access point->Use default settings.

a. Connection Name: Bt
b. Data bearer: leave unchanged
c. Connection Name: Bt
d. User name: A valid username in your lan
e. Prompt password: no
f. Password: A valid pwd in your lan
g. Authentication: Normal
h. Homepage: none

Leave the Options->Advanced settings unchanged.

4. (Mobile side) Launch Gnubox.

a. Install->set RAS login script
b. Install->auto set modem ID
c. Install->create records
d. 2 Box Bluetooth->Serial port.
Select your PC Bluetooth connection.
When ask for "Do you want to require encryption", select OK.

e. Close GnuBox.

f. Next is to test your connections, under GnuBox, Debug->Test comm channel.
After the test, close GnuBox. Use FileManager, go to c:\nokia\ctest.txt and view this text file

Make sure that you got the following
123456Error = 0
78 Error = -3
This confirms that your phone setup is correct.

g. Close GnuBox.

5. Once this is ok. Open Opera or NetFront and try to open up a web page.

Good luck!

P.S.: I reccomend to have a look at this thread: http://www.symbianos.org/yabbse/inde...ay;threadid=94

Two caveat(s):
1. My n6630 connects via Bluetooth to my Pc (ip: 192.168.0.45) which belongs to a home Lan. The computer sharing the internet connection has a 192.168.0.1 ip address.

2. I got a Widcomm Bluetooth driver.

i also connect my nokia 6630 via bt with
x-micro bluetooth
xp generic bluetooth driver
can now listen to virgin radio while surfing the net and also using agile messenger

can some user (with 6680) tell me how i have to do to put it working on mine??

step by step please (to win XP sp2)
