I tested both on my LE32 and the Component is much more vivd! It does display more jaggies but the picture is much more impressive! The VGA option just made it look like a 'pc' game.

Stick with component I say! Also bear in mind the VGA option on alot of lcds bypasses digital processing...

It certainly should do - 360 looks great via HDMI - Microsoft use Samsung 26" LCD TV's and HDMI to display the console in their demo booths. Deffo go for HDMI - otherwise you cant see a HD picture via Scart etc... and that's one of the things you pay for in a 360.

Ps. For the record, the 360 pods actually use 23" HDTV's, I had a sneaky peak around the back of one the other day.

To be honest i'm not 100% sure. Does anyone know - does componant output in HD as well as HDMI? I thought only HDMI could output a HD signal?

I do know that you have to pick the output resolution on the 360's 'dashboard' so try 1080 as a resolution. Let us know how you get on.

yes component can carry a HD signal.

As far as i kno there is no HDMI cable for the xbox 360 and in my opinion the component lead offers the best picture, especially with the Samsung lcdss :)
