I do okay with Maps 2.0 and i can get a lock in less then 20 secs too.

I like both but prefer Garmin because the turn-by-turn directions are free. More POI aslo.

both are nice , imo nokia maps is better because of the hybrid / satellite view ( google map style) but Garmin XT is better GPS software overall I d say .

I have. had some trouble with Mobile XT randomly recalculating routes, quite annoying as you approach a roundabout etc! Anybody else had this?

Am pissed off with Nokia since they removed the free turn by turn navigation without letting us know beforehand with the firmware upgrade. How do I now get the Garmin Mobile XT?

Can get it from their website directly mate or you can buy though reputable online sellers, stay away from ebay though. their fake and could have virus's or anything on them.

Ive not had any recalculation problems? could be your gps losing connection rather than the software?

No, it uses the internal GPS :-)
