mp3 player connect to car stereo/ cant connect to any online game tryed cod4 and fifa 08 anyone else had any luck connecting to a online game ????------------ Yeah the people in the thread 1cm below you are having the same trouble.------------ . Its not just this game others as well due to the update earlier As M$ Cant get anything right------------ ------------ Just been saying that in other thread they should give us a free month as we are paying for a service we are not recieveing and This is not first time live has been down------------ has been dodgy all night but just this minute been able to play COD4 online, seems like its fixed for me at least------------ the first few hours when live came back up were sketchy but just been playing for the last couple of hours without problems ------------ Played it about 30 mins ago and had lag in all 5 times i tried to play a game i just kept leaving the games then just got fed up of it and turned it off.------------ ------------ ------------ One would assume that when the servers go down for maintenance then come back up there is a period where A) Everyone is trying to connect at the same time B) Everyone's download resumes which in turn creates a bottleneck which can temporarily freeze XBL or even worse crash it . I would of thought that they would they would gradually resume the service to reduce the bottleneck but apparently not. This is my take on it anyway I must be one of the few who isn't bothered about getting a refund, sure X-Mas was extremely annoying and you would of anticipated MS would have made contigencies for this but that apart it doesn't go wrong that often (usually once every other month for a few hours at the most unless they have scheduled maintenance). What I would say to all of you XBL gamers if you have a PS3 is try playing online using the PSN and you quickly appreciate how much better XBL is on the whole.------------ ------------ Was bloody annoying as I'm really getting into COD4 now! Glad its back...still I used the time to complete a few more veteran missions. Had a couple of really crappy save points but managed to get through them to shock and awe. Also did a few more bits on MOH airborne.------------ Either I was playin' really bad last night, or there was some severe lag....would be emptying clips from the M16, at close range, with Stopping Power, unseen initially by the enemy, for absolutely nothing to happen.....the guy spins round and fires a quick MP5 burst and its all over This happened for about an hour, going 6 for 25, 4 for 20, etc, then turned it off before I smashed the gaff up.------------ I have that happen...definitely drilled the guy with some shots and nothing! Was like they were wearing body armour or something! The times I've had lag I've really noticed it, it stops and starts and jumps all over the place (kind of like a flash bang but clear picture) then sometimes the connection drops or it restores.
