Hi guys, I accidently came across this site, but it seems useful so hopefully someone can help. I have had the LE26R41B tv since July 2006, so my warantee ran out July 2007. However, everything has been fine (apart from high pitched whistling..) until today. I use my LE26R41B as my pc monitor and tv.

I was watching tv earlier and went to grab a cup of coffee. When I come back I was going to put it onto my pc - but the control wouldnt work. I thought the batteries were dead so I changed them. To my dismay, when I press a button on the remote the red light flickers on the tv as if it is receiving the signal. However, the tv doesnt always agree with it. Sometimes buttons work, sometimes they don't. My cable remote use to change the tv volume but again, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Is there any solutions I could try? I've cleaned the sensors on the tv, but it hasn't really helped.

------------ Can you set the tv to the correct mode via the button on the TV?
Could you take your remote into currys or somewhere and be cheeky and test it on one of theirs? That way you'll know if its your remote or the TV :D
