The following guide is meant so you can get "Alerts" on your cricket wireless cell phone when certain actions happen on the internet. Examples are things such as: Breaking News, MySpace alerts, Facebook, Blog Updates, etc.

The possibilities are upto your imagination. Feel free to post in here what you do with it!
Basically, what your going to do is setup a "dummy" e-mail account that will recieve these alerts and forward them to your myCricket e-mail account.
Step 1. Create a new GMail account. Name your account with the following format:
YourNickName_YourMobileNumber@gmail.com
Step 2. Login to your Gmail account and goto the "Setting"s portion and choose the "Filters" tab. Then simply enter the appropriate criteria for your "alert" so, if it's MySpace create a filter for MySpace. Then choose Next Step.
Step 3. Create the action. Choose the option "Forward to" and enter your mobile MMS address, yourMobileNumber@mms.mycricket.com
Step 4. Activate the filter and badabing. You'll have instant alerts whenever your defined action occurs.
Until Cricket themselves offers a similair service this will serve as an acceptable substitute. Post in here if you have any questions and I'll try to help you out!
