N95 8GB Firmware 15.0.015
Author: web   Add date: 04/09/2008   Publishing date: 04/10/2008   Hits: 0
I jsut got my N95 8GB from Vodafone (business). I have changed the product code (debranded it) to EURO1 = 0549487 in order to get v12 firmware.

When I now search for new firmware it shows 15.0.015 is available. I cannot find any reference to this on the internet.

Part of me wants to just flash it and see what I get the other part is saying Ive messed it up some where and if I flash it now itll be a shiny brick.

When I installed the Software updater it asked me to update that too.

Is anyone else getting 15.0.015?

From the wiki at http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...mware_Versions i cannot see any 15.0.015 firmware.

looks legit. why not just try it out?

Is there a way to force a reflash over a bad flash? if it doesnt boot for example?

You are nothing but wise for pausing your actions; Flashing with an incorrect product code may (And most of the time will) brick your phone. I'm not 100% familiar with NSU's functioning in this way so I can only suggest waiting for others to test it

no update on mine.

New firmwares are constantly released, so this may well be a legitimate update if you believe you have gone through the process correctly. Though one incorrect number in that product code could refer to a completely different devices firmware. Caution is a good idea

i didn't change any product code on my phone though. my n95-1 is still on v12 because i don't want to change anything on it :)

Changed my n95 8GB's code as 0550370 and get the same problem. when i try to update firmware of my phone, it shows 15.0.015 is available. How can i solve that problem?

Its not a problem, V15 has been released for N95 8 GB!!!!
