Hi all,
Brand new member on forum. I am thinking of buying a Samsung LCD screen. It will be either the
LE40R51B or the LE40M61B.
.

The second one is more expensive than the first one but since I will buy it in 2 months time the price might go down at that time. Anyway, I would like to know whether there are known issues when connecting an HTPC to the LCD since I saw a lot of posts with scaling problems. I was thinking of using a DVI cable with the LCD.

Thanks

My HTPC with my LE32R41BD looks pretty awesome when set to the correct resolution - imagine a near-perfect image from a PC!
Sadly I cannot comment on a DVI picture as I have yet to try it.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I am now also thinking of buying the LE32M61. The reason being is that it seems I am going to buy a TV in the wrong time since HDTV is new and there is no TV which has HDTV full resolution and therefore about 1920x1090 unless it costs a fortune :(. So what I decided is to buy a 32 inch one and then when the price decreases for TV with full resolution I will consider in buying new one and place the 32 inch one in another room.
------------

Good plan, but for my own uses (TV/HTPC/Monitor) a 1366x768 resoulution will probably be all I'll ever need*.
