I am still considering buying Sony Ericsson P1 but still not sure about inputing message with the qwerty keypad.
I tried it once, and I still prefer the normal multitap for input to the qwerty keypad.

seriously, the P1is keyboard is fantastic and a single use is not a fair test of it. unless your fingers are the size of melons you'll be fine and in no time youll be tapping away like a pro, it's much faster than either the pearls system or T9.
A full keyboard (like on an HTC TyTN) is very slightly quicker... but only very very slightly, trust me, I have had typing races with colleagues with the my phone is better than your phone type contest... the M600/P1i wins every time... I beat them all when trying to do real tasks.
