Dixons/Currys Safety Recall Samsung LE40R51BDX

Letter from DSGI refers to Samsung LE40R51BDX but I have LE40R51BX/XEU (without digital tuner methinks). Anyway, I've spent a fair amount of time contacting the various numbers given to me for Curry's Customer Services, Mastercare repairs etc and after several emails to Currys and calls to Samsung, this is what you need to do. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Samsung are only aware of 26 & 32 inch LCD TV's purchased from Currys/Dixons having the component defect but NOT the 40 inch. Also Curry's won't let you have a loan TV whilst TV is being 'modified' (takes 2 to 3 weeks before you get your TV back - good customer service? ...not!). Curry's will say that the required modification is to 'enhance TV performance' but the DSGI letter refers to component failure and smoke emission. Hope this helps.

Dude! I hear these mofos go up in smoke, big style! These things really burn... So if i was an insider, i'd know some things. Things that you don't know. Things they don't want you to know. Did you ever see fight club? Car manufactures that willingly sell default products to consumers blind from the truth.

Samsung are actualy fully aware of this issue!

Samsungrocks , you are frightening me .

I am about to buy one of these 26" jobs.
Now I am worried.
