Hello!
Does anyone know how to install java games on a samsung SGH-g800?
I only gets the error; unsupported file format when trying to execute a .jar file on the phone.
.
It should support java games. Generally jar applications do not require actual installation.Just transfer that particular file to your phone through bluetooth or data cable and store in your extendable memory or MMC and then execute the application from there. Thanks for the reply.
My problem really lies in executing the file from the phone. It only says
it's unsupported. Installing from web at media download works well. It supports java. Both the .jad and .jar files are transferred to the phone via cable from my computer, but will not execute.
I wonder if it's locked ore something, to prevent installing this way.
Maybe a code is needed to open this feature...
Since the phone is so new, there are little to find on the web yet.. Seems like the only way to get games is by downloading via WAP/GPRS etc. directly to you're phone.
So the best solution I think. Is to upload it to a server from you're PC and download it from the same server to you're mobile phone.
That seems to have worked for several people with this phone. And many other samsung models.
It has to be uploaded as a .jar/.jad file. Not a zip. And it'll work.
Haven't got time to test it yet though. So if anyone can confirm this, I would be a happy man. [GUIDE] Installing Games on G800
