motorola slvr/When i was tryin to install games on my V3 razor black, i got an invalid error after uploading with midway....can anyone please help????

------------ The way I got games to my phone was using www.funformobile.com upload them thru wap ang get them that way I tryed to send them thru text on there and it didn't work but thru wap it did....hope this helps.....
------------ i had the same problem until i looked at the game screen sizee.... which for a V3 is 176x220......

------------ How to know on which COM Port the phone has been detected:
1). Power up the Phone.
2). Connect regular USB Cable to phone.
3). Right Click on My Computer.
4). Click on Properties.
5). Select 'Hardware' Tab.
6). Click on Device Manager.
7). Your phone should be detected as Modem. Expand Modems under Device Manager.
(There has been some cases when the phone is detected as Modem but when you expand
Modems under Device Manager it is detected as Broken link. In this case Reboot the
computer and follow steps 1-7 again)
8). Right Click on "Motorola USB Modem". Select Properties.
9). Select 'Advanced' Tab.
10). Click 'Advanced Port Settings".
11). Note down the COM port number.
Steps to Download MIDlet.
1). Power up the Phone.
2). Click Menu->Settings->Java Settings->Java App Loader.
3). It shows a Dialog on the screen "Insert Cable Now"
4). Insert USB Cable.
5). The phone should display "Jal Link is active."
6). Run MIDway 2.8.
7). Select menu item File->Settings... and change COM Port as it was in step 11.
8). From File Menu on MIDway select "Open JAD..." OR Click on "Open JAD" toolbar icon (1st icon)
9). Select appropriate JAD file from your computer. (Hint: use recent file list in the File menu)
10). Click on "Send JAD" icon (2nd icon). Some information from JAD File will be displayed
on the Phone Screen. If Right Soft Key reads "More" select it. It should then display
"DOWNLD". Select "DOWNLD". This will start downloading the JAR file from computer
to phone. Upon download successful, it starts installing the application.
When installed successfully, the phone displays "Run <Application> ?" with YES & NO as soft keys.
If you are planning to download more games, select "NO" otherwise follow steps 8-10 again.
------------ p2k tools is another great alternative.
launch the program
connect the phone to pc
switch to p2k mode
go to kjava - either load or get
go to install - path to the .jar file
restart phone
the end..
------------ If you have bluetooth capability you can also link your phone to your pc and then drag the jar file to the obex object push icon and send it that way. A lot easier than using midway or p2kman. after that just follow the prompts on your phone's screen and install it. It may state something about wanting to install an unsigned program. No biggie. As long as you've scanned the game folder w/ a virus scanner prior to sending it you should be good to go.
