I'm very disappointed you won't be able to develop for the iPhone from a Windows computer. I know, I know, Apple users will just say suck it up and get a Mac (Mac Mini is only $600, since I'm just made of money).

But that's not the point. Maybe I've always been a Windows user and I am just starting to see the light with regards to Apple/OS X/etc. Well, I drop my hard earned $500 for the most forward thinking device on the planet and decide I want to develop for it. But since I am still basically a Windows user I'm stuck.
I mean, I make a comfortable living, but still a Mac just isn't in the cards right now. I'm trying to finish house renovations. So, for the time being the only option left to me is a Hackintosh iPhone Development Box. And let me tell you... cobbling together a Hackintosh is no fun.
Oh well... just a rant. I love the iPhone and as a software developer I recognize that the APIs in the iPhone SDK are some of the most exciting things out there right now. I just want to play with them.
I suppose the one hope I have is the recent announcement that Microsoft will be working with Apple to develop for the iPhone. I have a bad feeling they are just going to make it so MS documents are editable on the iPhone instead of really integrating Objective C and iPhone connectivity/debugging into Visual Studio.
Hey, hope springs eternal. Right? I believe that Apple will, eventually, come out with a Windows SDK... I certainly hope so. In the mean time I have started a... a little project... of sorts... PM me if you want more info on that haha.
Also the unofficial "SDK" (toolchain) ripped from the iPhone firmware image is ultimately the same as the SDK with much MUCH less documentation. Soooo... if ya wanna go that route haha. But you won't have access to the AppStore or the simulator or any of that stuff... So just PM me bout mah other project [??:??]
