nokia n82 download msn

Hi, I just had a couple of questions regarding the N82 before I bought one.
My situation is that I do not have a data plan, and I do not want to get one. Is a data plan required to use this phone? If not, is there a setting on the phone where I can disable data? I have ATT in the US, so I beleive it is a GSM network? I plan on using the other connecivity features for data (wifi, bluetooth, usb). I couldn't find anything concrete in the online manual on nokiausa's site. I read a quite a bit of reviews, I was wondering how durable this phone is to say... an accidental drop on the street. (Not often, but let's assume once or twice; I baby these things, but sometimes, like once in their lifetime I drop em on accident.) I am assuming firmware cannot be "back flashed?" I read another thread that the routing was removed with the latest firmware. I am planning on purchasing it from amazon.com ($440 free shipping), and was wondering also what are the chances of getting it with an older firmware.
That's all I can think of right now. Thanks for your time answering.

1) You do not need a data plan (although it is highly recomended). I would go into the access points in the settings and force in typos to make sure to data access happens. GPS locks will takes minutes without a data plan, mere seconds with a data plan.

2) The plastic body is scratch prone, but I suspect the hardware inside is durable.

3) I'm gonna go ahead and guess 25% chance it has old firmware and 75% it has v20 firmware. If you had a data plan, you could use Google Maps, which has a free routing feature.
