Changing language on N95 8GB to a language not available in Options?
Author: web   Add date: 04/09/2008   Publishing date: 04/09/2008   Hits: 9
Just wondering if its possible to change the language in an N95 8GB thats originally from the UK to the Finnish language?

Anyone know if this is possible?

Basically, I purchased the phone in the UK, and came locked to Vodafone, but have since had it unlocked by Vodafone themselves. I now need to try and change the language to Finnish so to sell it local. Is this possible without voiding the warranty.?
.

Any help, or advice appreciated.

Current available languages via language options are, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese(sp). ------------------ You will need to change the product code to one that has Finnish available AFAIK, and then reflash.

Don't think you can just download a language pack. ------------------ Cheers Steve, thought so. Question now is, is it EURO 2 or EURO3 ? ------------------ EURO3 - English, Czech, Slovakian, German, Polish, Hungarian
Scandinavia - English, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic, Danish
Baltic - English, German, Estonian, Russian, Latvian, Lithuanian
Russia - English, German, Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Hungarian
Balkans - English, German, Croatian, Slovenian, Serbian, Greek
Arabic - English, Arabic, French, Farsi, Urdu
Hebrew - English, Hebrew, Arabian, Russian, Romanian, Spanish
Africa - English, Portuguese, German, Italian, French ------------------ Cheers Steve. Will let you know how I get on.! ------------------ Bugger, No updates available :( ------------------ you've changed your product code? there should still be an option to reflash the firmware even if there's no updates ------------------ Yea, you should just need to re-install, not update..... ------------------ Ok, thanks guys, I have changed the Product code to EURO3.

How do I reinstall then?

Sorry if a dumb question. ------------------ just fire up nokia software updater. even if yours has no update, you should still be able to reflash/reinstall the firmware
