Duplicate contact in sim

mtn nokia n82 black availability

I have more than 250 contacts in sims and have more 250 extra space inside sims. When i put new contact in phonebook and want to add inside sims, the phone didnt add just add new contact but also add old contact. So my sims is full with duplicate contact.

Is there a way to make sure that phone only add to sims the new contact and never make or duplicate older contact.

This is a common problem when using SIM contacts and why I don't put numbers in a SIM. I personally prefer to use the phone's internal memory and sync the contacts with my computer. You can also use the Switch application in the N82 to sync the contacts and other data with another phone.
