N95/nokia/nokia n95 igre download
Hi, I've had my N95 for just under a week now, and have yet to get the GPS working. It is a UK Three model, with the v12.0.013 firmware. I have been in the UK and France with this phone, and haven't managed to get a lock from either country. The best I have managed is with the AGPS enabled (while in the UK), where the satellite status display within the Position section of the GPS Data application shows 5 white squares, each with a number. I'm assuming that these squares will grow into rectangles and then become black if the signal gets stronger and a lock is achieved. The only change I have had is that different numbers have appeared, and occasionally a number has appeared at the bottom with no square. The best I have got in France was a single, longer bar, but still white. Most of the time, in the UK or France, I have just had "(no satellite data available)". I have tried leaving the phone on a window sill for 20 minutes, lying under a Velux window for 30 minutes with the power plugged in, even sitting on my patio for an hour facing the night sky with no buildings in the way, but still nothing. I have also tried the factory reset, but that has not helped. Does this sound like I have a dud GPS in my phone, or have I still not given the system long enough to get a lock on? Any help much appreciated! Assuming it is a dud GPS, I assume I can just walk into my Three shop with all the packaging and so-on and swap it for a new one, or am I forced to send it off somewhere for repair etc.? Thanks in advance for any help! Rich

Thanks for replying - I feel a bit reassured! When you say leave it still outside, should I just lie it on its back, or have it at 45 degrees, which is what I did on the patio (facing away from the house)...

Does the N95 have this menu (see picture)? Because I was using it without AGPS for ages, until I got a dataplan. When I did, I turned AGPS on. Thinking that I should have only one ticked, I deticked 'Integrated GPS' and just left 'Integrated GPS with AGPS support' - (or something like that, its cut off as you can see). I had problems with GPS then. Oddly, sometimes it would work, and others it didnt. When it did work, it was very very spotty. When I ticked both, it works like a dream (I was always happy with how it did without AGPS, with it its amazing). So if you N95 users have the same menu, check both are ticked.

Annoyingly, my phones doing exactly the same thing too (UK Three model, flashed with v20.0.015). With AGPS enabled I get 5 very small white boxes pretty much instantly (with numbers that randomly change between 1 and mid 30s), yet no black 'lock', and the lines are *really* short. If I disable AGPS I get 2 long white boxes after a few minutes (taking up the entire length of the screen) and, again, no lock. If I move the phone the bars are instantly lost, going to no satellite data available.
