windows xp skins/ Hi, everyone ...
Like my title says, my network indicates that the LAN has connected, but I am not able to browse the web. I am using a Toshiba Satellite, with SP2.
I have recently been using a University "Resnet" network, since I live in dorm. However, upon moving back to my house, I find that my original internet network is not working (it worked before I moved to university). My Dad uses a Server/router based system, where he connects his server computer to the modem, and wires the router through there. When I try to connect to the internet, my network shows that I am receiving very little packets. I have tried disabling my firewall, uninstalling then reinstalling my realtek adapter, and the "TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2" (typing in netsh int ip, etc. etc in the CMD prompt) method, and neither seems to work. To top it off, my laptop is in Chinese format, and I'm not too fluent in it. Can anyone suggest a solution? ------------
