Debranding N82 Black on Orange UK

Has anyone taken an N82 Black on Orange UK and tried to debrand it?

The Orange UK software was truely horrible as you will know if you have this version of the N82 (particularly the front screen menu), so I want to put it back to the Nokia OEM firmware.
.

This appeared to work partially by setting the product code to EURO-1 and downloading the firmware from Nokia using the Nokia Software Downloader.

Thankfully the awful menus were removed but still there are some traces of Orange left:

The Orange Photo application is still installed.
The Orange Internet Connection settings are still listed and are not removeable.

That makes me think that the product code change & re download of the firmware didn't work properly.

Does anyone else have experience of this?

Thanks,
jonny boy.

You can get that mate

Settings>general>personalisation>stanby mode>>active standby>change to ON.

There should be the option to turn off the orange home screen there too.

Bump.

I would be interested to know if anyone has any tales of debranding the Black N82 from Orange. Having recently reviewed coverage in my area, Orange may be an option as a stockist of the Black N82 now. Price seems good too, but I just couldn't live with their wrapper.

I'm familliar with the debrand process but have only previously done it on N95-1's.

Comments and advice will be much appreciated.
