Is there any way to boost the max volume of the n95 ? It doesnt go high enough for me (yes i like my music loud !)
On my ipod I found a patch (european ipods are limited) and on my zen installing the usa firmware helped but is there anything on n95 ? .

The volume is quite low through the headphones. I too would like to know how to increase it, if possible.

same issue for me. The headphone volume is too low for my ears...
still searching the web for a solution, but I have found nothing yet...

I used to get Headphone boosters (for deejaying) from my local specialist record shop but i haven't seen the same sort of thing since, and that was quite some time ago.

If you use OggPlay you can use it's Volume Boost to increase the gain by 12dB which should be plenty.

Get a decent pair of headphones. Preferably the in-ear type. They help. I find setting the player to Jazz helps, but every1s different!

I tried messing with the EQ, but nothing sounded that great. Jazz makes it way too tinny for me.
May just try another player.

A sort of dirty cludge would be to use a custom eq setting with all the faders turned right up - which is a bit like increasing the gain.

I thought of that, but it destroys the sound quality.

New Official Release version of OggPlay available here
Symbian OggPlay
Seems excellent so far, plays any sort of audio file I throw at it and will play them LOUD!
(Its a 2 stage installation, fonts app first , then turn phone off and back on before installing main app, then off and on again. Worked perfectly first time).
