motorola krzr/Im really confused about this stuff. i have a razr v3c verizon and i want to put games and ringtones on it. im not sure how to do it and do i need to flash the firmware in order to do it?

------------ You shouldn't have to modify the firmware. Just upload the files to your phone either by data cable or bluetooth
------------ yea. ive tried. i use p2k commander. and i upload the mp3 onto the cell. i can play it on the cell phone, but when i try to set it as ringtone, it doesnt work. is there another way to connect?
------------ Version .03 of the V3c firmware has completely disabled OBEX. Since you have version .04, it is most likely that your phone was originally version .03 flashed to .04 by Verizon. With this version of the firmware, you will not be able to do anything with ringtones or wallpapers, unless you pix message them to your phone. I did that with my wife's Pink Razr, and it worked quite well.
As for games, Verizon uses BREW for their games OS, not Java. I have not seen any BREW games available anywhere, other than through Get It Now.

------------ go to http://www.planetmotox.net/ and they will give you new firmware to flash your phone. Some software you will need is RSD Lite Version 2.3. If you put the wrong firmware on your phone or do anything that makes your so you cant boot it back up. Just press * ands # on your phone then power it up. This will put you into boot loader mode and you willl be able to flash your phone with RSD.
