[iphone][sdk]][donload][Applications]EA and Sega set the Bar for iPhone Gaming

In the invitation only SDK event today Sega and EA introduced games that they plan on releasing on the iPhone later this year.

EA came in with a mobile version of the game Spore. This is and interesting choice (as in I don't really understand this choice), but all the same the graphics and interface look like they are going to be totally insane and awesome.

Sega brought Monkey Ball which looks amazing and was an awesome choice. Monkey Ball rip-off was on the list of apps I was hoping to develop. Guess it depends how much they plan on charging whether I'll continue with that idea at some point.

Do people think that these apps will cost as many games do on mobile phone sites today or do you think big companies like EA and Sega will come up with other monetization plans? Do any developers have monetization plans for their apps that would like to share?

I am pretty sure it will be a standard flatline cost like most other games on different systems.

I agree with zodiac... especially from what we have seen of the appstore.[??:??]
