Hurray! Cheque arrived today
After yet another broken promise by Albany Interactive, I activated "Wee Sister" (Lawyer version 2.0)

This rattled off a couple of legal letters to the entire board of the company and seemed to annoy them (much to my satisfaction)
I think they would have refunded me anyway...but then I thought that back in August last year!
Hopefully it will clear OK and them I'm going straight to John Lewis. But having a quick browse of the forum, I see more folk with faults and crap Service from Samsung. Not feeling the Love for Samsung at the moment.
The John Lewis return policy is excellent and their prices are now pretty similar to online retailers. Worth it when you don't have a telly and a small proportion of your income (PT video editor) for 6 months.

------------ Me too! Now. Although having tried a brighter toshiba for something different I am taking it back as its SXGA VGA picture is terrible and it can't support high resolutions in this mode, and the ergonomics and design of software interface is poor compared to the samsung. I do believe its TV picture is sharper though but this just seems to highlight low quality DTV broadcast more. It also runs noticably cooler.
*Sigh*
Reverting to the samsung for more livable with picture. and I could get a ipod shuffle with the leftover change too!!!
