Hi all,
I have an LE40M61BX and I had it for 7 months. After 3 months I got a dead pixel and I went from where I bought it to replace it since I had 6 months dead pixel guarantee.

They contacted Samsung and they said that the serial number I gave showed that that TV was not bought from the place I bought it. Thus he said that he cannot replace it. I have been fighting with this guy for these past 3 months in vain. He should take full responsibility since I bought it from him.

I tried to contact Samsung support but they did not even reply. Can someone please give me a direct email where I can contact Samsung possibly Samsung Italy?

Go to your local citizens advice bureau, or contact trading standards.

If you have written proof about the guarantee you were given you should have a good case. It look more a case between you and the person who sold it to you.

Just to give you a small update and maybe I can get some good advice. I am still without the replacement. This guy is saying that Samsung will replace it next week. However he said that if they do not replace it he will replace my panel with a new one. The new panel will be the LE4OR76 while I have the LE40M61BX. I told him that I am worried that if only the panel will be changed I will not have any proof that the panel actually is the same quality as the one I have one.

What should I do in case he will change the panel and not the whole TV?

Quite simply you need to ask for a direct replacement of your TV and not just the panel. That would be a correct solution to this problem and not just a simple 'workaround'.

Also, start putting things in writing instead of just relying on phone calls. Write a letter to head office and send it via surface mail and fax. Mention the problem, describe what has been agreed and YOU set the parameters (and not THEM): ie. that you want a TV replacement.

Mark the letter for the attention to Mr. Stephen Brackenberry - he's the UK Samsung customer services manager (or director...), or at least he was when I wrote to him with regarding my 'buzzing' LE32R74BD.

Thanks for the reply. The problem with my situation is that I need to contact Samsung Italy and not UK since I bought it from a dealer that gets TVs from Samsung Italy. I wish I know some address where I can contact the person responsible for Samsung Italy by email or mail.
