I juat got a N82. Apparently, all new models of nokia phones that come with GPS will be offered with free GPS service. Mine was given free 3 months, thereafter I need to purchase the license. I have a 6110 Navigator. The GPS was free. I called Nokia and confirmed this. Anyone has anyway to bypass this? N82 uses A-GPS.

------------ the a-gps works with the help of your network providers infrastructure it measures your destination out from a few funk towers, so this costs you everytime some money when your're doing a "a-gps" positioning so there is not nokia the one who "sucks" your money out of the pockt but it's your mobile operator... :/
don't kow if some mobile operators have a flat for a-gps or not but, you can inform you directly @ your mobile operator.
