free windows xp upgrade/ Hello everyone,
I run Windows Vista Family Premium Edition on my laptop (32 bits) and I have a nvidia graphic card, which is a GeForce Go 7400. Until today everything was working fine and my operating system was up to date. .
I did leave windows install Service Pack 1 through the automatic update and there were no issues until I did restart. When I restarted, the laptop was using a really bad resolution and graphics were looking really ugly.
My computer still recognize my graphic card when I look inside the material / driver tab but when I go into my desktop layout, there is written "no description" for the graphic card as if it was not recognized.
Furthermore, Windows Update asks me to install 2 updates that I did install previously: one for my nvidia graphic card and one for my laptop's touchpad. Unfortunately, none of these updates are working! (I tried two times). The error given is: Code 80070103.
So far, I'm downloading the last driver update from nvidia website for the GeForce series 7 but I am scared that this won't help because they were released in 2007.
I'd like to hear any of your advices, thank you. ------------ nvidia only has a limited number of the go drivers, you cannot use the normal nvidia card drivers with the go chipset ------------ You are right thank you, I just find out on Nvidia websites. They don't have any driver under the 7800 on their website. Now I have no idea what to do. ------------ you will find it here
