So long, farewell....

Auf wiedersehn, adieu !!

On Tuesday, I will be leaving the N73 fold and moving to the N95 (at last).

It's been a blast. When I got my N73 back in November 2006, it was second choice to an N80i. My service provider, Orange, had stopped selling the N80 due to apparant problems with the device (more like their crappy FW) and being that I get major discounts on my home phone and broadband with them, I really had to stick with them, so they convinced me the N73 was by far the better choice. I was dubious, having always had the latest, most advanced Symbian phones previous to that, but I have to say, the N73 was/is a revelation. A great little Symbian device whose minor shortcomings were far outweighed by it's reliable performance and excellent features.

It's been a reliable device, making sure I know all my contact and appointments, providing me with hours of musical entertainment and gaming fun and keeping me connected to the outside world on my travels, both on the phone and online. And the ability to run TomTom has been valuable beyond words.

The shenanigans required to remove the ghastly Orange FW and replace with the far superior ME FW were so worth it. I shall be doing the same to my N95 and removing the Orange crippling FW and replacing with v20.

The N73 will not, however, be leaving the household. As is customary here, my missus gets my old phones, so she is anxious to replace her ageing 6680. Therefore, I will probably still be lurking here every now and again, but my main focus will now shift to the N95 boards.

Thanks to everyone who has helped or corresponded with me on the N73 boards, I hope I offered worthwhile help to others too.

Ciao !

Rob.

I also offer you thanks and good luck.
It was fun while it lasted...

Cheers buddy, some good TomTom/bluetooth discussions/advice I remember well.

Might see you in 95 land myself one day (did you get the 8GB N95?) unless I plump for the N82.

Take care.

Chris
