free ringtones for samsung r225m
Hi all
call me thick if you want but I read some of the posts about not being able to record the freeview on the integrated samsung models. I was just wondering if the problem had been sorted. I bought a dvd recorder today and thought i was just being a typical woman not being able to set up. Any help would be greatfully recieved. .
cheers ------------ Snap! Your posting is quite timely as I also wanted to know the same thing; I've pasted a copy of an email I sent to Samsung this morning and am awaiting their reply:
Email-
"Please note that this query relates to LCD TV Model No. LE32R74BD and LE40R74BD.
Good Morning,
I have ordered two Samsung LCD R74 Series tvs. These sets have integrated digital tuners ('Freeview'). Each set will be connected to a VCR only. My question is:
1. Will my VCR be able to receive and record freeview channels from this TV?
2. If so, is it possible to watch terrestrial TV whilst recording from Freeview?
3. In order to record from Freeview onto VCR, can the TV be left in Stand-By mode or does it require for it to be 'powered-up'? "
END.
I'll post any replies from Samsung here. ------------ "In reference to the questions you have asked, the answers are detailed below:
1. Will my VCR be able to receive and record freeview channels from this
TV?
You can record Freeview by Scart from the TV to AV Scart on the Recorder. You then need to put the Recorder channel on the AV input you have connected the Scart to. You have to watch the Freeview channel you
wish to record as turning channel will mean you start to record the channel you turn to.
2. If so, is it possible to watch terrestrial TV whilst recording from Freeview?
You will be able to record terestrial channels BBC 1 and 2, ITV, Channel
4 and Channel Five whilst watching Freeview as long as you connect the aerial to the Recorder then to the TV and select the channel you wish to record on the VCR.
3. In order to record from Freeview onto VCR, can the TV be left in Stand-By mode or does it require for it to be 'powered-up'?
In standby mode the power to the Scart connections are terminated and if recording is attempted whilst the TV is off the recorder will record a blank screen.
Regrettably these are limitations associated with integrated freeview receivers." ------------ my tv is a LE32R51BD. I've tried exactly what they've said to you and it doesn't work. hope it works on your tv. ------------ Personally speaking the only option for me is to keep my old external Freeview box and have this connected to the VCR, at least this way I can watch one freeview channel (from the TV) whilst recording another freeview channel (from the external freeview box).
I was hoping to use the old freeview box for the bedroom TV.
The other option is to purchase a new DVD recorder WITH an internal Freeview tuner; there only seems to be two currently on the market: Panasonic DMRES20 and JVC DR-M150S.
